● First annual CycloFest celebration coming to Preston Street on May 8.

There’s a new bicycle festival in Ottawa. It’s called CycloFest and it will be taking place in the heart of Little Italy on Preston Street from 10 am to 2 pm Sunday, May 8, 2016 (Mother’s Day).

Preston Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Carling and Gladstone for CycloFest, and the event promises a “wide range of activities that will offer fun for the whole family”. This includes a bicycle parade, a bike rodeo, and a demonstration by the Bike Polo Club. CycloFest is free and will feature three activation areas focusing on cycling, fitness and kids. There will also be exhibitor booths and tables.
