● Laurier Avenue bike lane being vandalized.
It seems that someone is vandalizing the Laurier Avenue bike lane in downtown Ottawa. A report in the Ottawa Citizen suggests that motorists may be intentionally running over the flexible plastic posts that are used to demarcate the bike lane on Laurier Avenue East.
The city installed these posts to keep cars from lining up in the bike lane when making a right turn onto Nicholas Street. Apparently, someone doesn’t like the idea that cars should stay out of bike lanes.
was down on it this past weekend, I didn’t see much vandalism aside from spray paint on a couple of building’s walls.
