● The Moffat Farm Cycle Club – a good way to stay fit during the winter while helping local charities.

I usually don’t post promotional material I receive from various cycling groups, but I’m making an exception for the Moffat Farm Cycle Club studio because 100% off their proceeds go to charity, and because it’s the dead of winter, a time when many of us don’t get to do much outdoor cycling.

Here’s what they sent me:

We want to introduce ourselves! We are the Moffat Farm Cycle Club & we run an indoor cycling studio for local charities in Ottawa. We are also a great way to engage with your community and stay active over the cold winter months.

We operate 100% for local charities so other than a love of indoor cycling, a desire to help people get fit and a means to give back to the community, we are completely non commercial.

We have worked with The Candlelighters, CHEO, Breast Cancer Action-Ottawa, the OHS,Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa and now the Queensway Carleton Hospital’s Hopes Rising Campaign. In three years, we have donated over $40,000 to these community organizations.

We run fast paced indoor cycling classes 6 days a week (Monday to Friday at 6:10pm and Sunday mornings at 9am). We have two bikes on stage and 24 bikes on the floor making us one of the biggest cycling studios in Ottawa. We have Performance IQ fitness technology which means you can work based on your own HR readings and have your fitness data including HR, RPMS, calories, distance travelled and pace uploaded to your own profile for review and tracking.

For a suggested donation of $5.00 per class, participants get a great, affordable workout and give back to the community. We have a great studio, fantastic tunes, disco balls and a love of cycling. All bikes are SPD clip compatible & also have cages for running shoes. All donations are provided to our current community partner.

Bring a towel, water bottle & heart rate monitor – we are going to work! More information is available on our website www.moffatfarmcycleclub.com . We hope you come try a ride!
