● NCC issues warning about flooding on various pathways.

With river water levels already high, and the ground fully saturated, it looks like all the rain we have been getting for the past two days has led to renewed flooding on many of the region’s pathways.

Late Monday afternoon (May 1) the NCC issued a statement that rising water levels was causing flooding and closures in many sections of the Capital Pathway network. The map below shows some of the problem areas.

According to the NCC, several sections of the Ottawa River Pathway, including segments behind Parliament Hill and west of Parkdale Avenue, are flooded and closed. Likewise, several sections of the Voyageurs Pathway on the Gatineau side of the river are also flooded and closed.

Check the latest NCC statement for a complete list of the affected pathways.
